2. Scope
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of sofianobre.pt, the booking and payment of clinical psychology sessions provided by Sofia Nobre, and the rights and obligations of both parties.
By making a booking through the website, the user declares to have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full, as well as the Privacy Policy.
3. Services available
The website enables the booking of clinical psychology sessions by video call. Sessions last 50 minutes and are available for adults, adolescents, and children.
Sessions are provided exclusively in private practice and do not replace emergency services, psychiatry, medicine, or hospital care. In an emergency, contact INEM (112), SNS 24 (808 24 24 24), or go to the nearest hospital emergency department.
4. Booking and confirmation
A booking is confirmed only upon successful payment, after which a confirmation email is sent to the address provided. The time slot is temporarily reserved during the payment process.
Sofia Nobre reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a session in exceptional circumstances (illness, emergency, or force majeure) with prior notice, and to issue a full refund if no alternative date can be agreed.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are as shown on the website at the time of booking. Clinical psychology sessions are exempt from VAT under Art. 9(1) of the Portuguese VAT Code (CIVA), so the prices shown are the final amounts payable. Payment is securely processed by Stripe, Inc. in euros (EUR). A receipt is issued after payment is confirmed. To receive an invoice with a Portuguese Tax ID (NIF) for healthcare deduction purposes, enter your NIF in the booking form.
6. Cancellation and refund policy
Cancellations must be communicated by email (clinica@sofianobre.pt) or phone (+351 963 161 234).
- Cancellation with 24 or more hours' notice: full refund, processed within 5 business days to the original payment method.
- Cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice: no refund; the full session fee applies.
- No-show without notice: treated as a late cancellation; no refund applies.
- Rescheduling: one free reschedule is available provided at least 24 hours' notice is given.
7. Right of withdrawal
Under Portuguese Decree-Law No. 24/2014 (distance contracts), the user has a right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of conclusion, without giving any reason.
By making a booking, the user expressly requests that the service begin before the end of the withdrawal period and acknowledges that, once the session has taken place, the right of withdrawal for that session is lost. For cancellations before the session, section 6 applies.
8. Minors and legal guardians
For sessions involving clients under 18, the legal guardian (parent or guardian) must make and pay for the booking. By submitting a booking for a minor, the user declares they are the legal representative and have the required authorisation.
9. Confidentiality and professional secrecy
All sessions are protected by professional secrecy under the Statute of the Portuguese Psychologists Association (Law No. 57/2008) and the OPP Code of Ethics. The only legal exception applies in situations of serious and imminent risk to the life of the client or others.
10. Limitation of liability
Liability is limited to the value of the session in question. No liability is accepted for service interruptions caused by internet failures, technical issues beyond the provider's control, or force majeure.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this website — texts, images, logos, and design — is the property of Sofia Nobre and is protected by applicable law. Reproduction, in whole or in part, is prohibited without prior written consent.
12. Changes to these terms
These Terms may be updated at any time. The current version is always the one published at sofianobre.pt/termos. Continued use of the website after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

- Portuguese e-Complaints Book: www.livroreclamacoes.pt
- CNIACC (National Consumer Dispute Resolution Centre): www.cniacc.pt
